dark souls addict here, actually the way to cheese lynels is the same as cheesing dragons in DS (thanks miyazaki for taking inspiration on zelda)
grab a straight sword, and stick to any side you like, close to their back legs

With a bunch of electric arrows and a 5 shot Lynel bow as well as a meal with three sword symbols on it and barbarian armor, you can just stasis the lynel and use urbosers fury/what ever to get it stunned, you can just get close to it and just keep hitting it with so many arrows until it dies.
