One of my favorite things about the Lynel is how they don't attack until you pull out your weapon, it almost feels like they're the predators or something, they can appreciate a good fight and won't just senselessly attack

They were a nightmare in the original Zelda. If you didn’t have the big shield they would light you up. On top of that, in the pre-internet era (and pre-nintendo power magazine era) to get out of the lost forest by the graveyard was really hard and then these jerks just kept wrecking you screen after screen.
