Friends who choose to make themselves look worse when you're on a facetime with your partner are real friends.

Friends who try to make themselves look prettier though are often times the fake ones.



Then.theres those that just have anxiety about how they look and are raised to look alright in public so they try to fix themselves to look more presentable due to trauma when you might see a new person. No intent on stealing the friends partner, but just has very low self esteem. (Im one of these people personally. My friends all know it though, and im glad they understand how im not one of those fake friends, but just have my own issues instead is all. If a friend of mine is a true friend and I know it, last thing id want is to ruin our strong friendship for a person who probably wont last as long as our friendship- /especially when we all know we have different tastes that make it easy for us to tell we wont steal one anothers manz unless its fictional-/)
