Still playing this fantastic handheld in 2021 as I’ve never owned one in it’s peak time.

One of my biggest regrets in in life is getting rid of my psp. Man it was a cool piece of hardware back in the day, and still looks badass in 2021. Would love to mess around with the multimedia features and put music etc on it just for fun

It's now officially 2022 and I just purchased a nice PSP 3000 .I Will be leaving very soon to be with my Fiance and future step kids in the Philippines and this will be good for traveling with me.I think this system still holds up today.

damn, i remember that psp used to look way larger. but now it looks small. maybe it's because I'm now used to having the nintendo switch in my hands😂

I got the 3000 on my 10th bday in 2009. The best and greatest gift. I lost it in 2012 :-( I’ll prob have to buy one again to relive my peak childhood.

The connection port on the button close to the headset port is not for a microphone. It´s for the proprietary cable to output the signal on a TV with a component connection. The 3000 model was the only one, capable of doing this. The experience though is just enjoyable on a CRT or maybe a plasma TV, due to the low resolution.

Wish I had kept my psp. The vita is nice and emulates my favourite psp titles but videos like these make me miss it 😢

I still have my psp 3000 black piano model, and I was listening to music I still had on memory stick from 7th grade. I have physical games and I'm planning to get digital games ps1 and psp from ps store, which I have to use my ps3 in order to get them.

I absolutely loved my PSP!! I had mine modded and tons of games on it and had larger batteries.

Load a 128gb micro sd with roms and upgrade the firmware and you have yourself a decent portable games player.
The battery life will also be better rather than using the spinning UMD discs and the games don't take as long to load!

debating on purchasing a PSP or to wait for the new PlayStation Handheld, I also am debating on buying a Nintendo DS or 3DS, not sure how I'm going to like the graphics after being so spoiled with PS5 and SteamDeck and Xbox Series X all the updated technology.

Man, I remember I used to sell "Pandora's Batteries" back in high school.

Found one of these somewhere in my house a few years back (2019-ish) one of the first produced... never stopped playing it since. It's just such a good console. Mine is virtually in perfect condition except for some slight screen yellowing.

PlayStation was ahead of it’s time back in the day, it really sucks that Sony discontinued the PlayStation portable because Nintendo portable systems were outselling a lot better.

I had a psp go in 2012 i shocked to my dad bought this, cuz i had one fake psp with nitendo games🤣🤣 I'm noob to realized that time, but in 2014 i damaged the psp go from speaker to stucked ps button, till the lcd screen not worked due to my gaming rage, after few years from hidden to my cabinet i get it back again i tried to charged it, surprisingly it still charging, im using my earphones just to hear the sounds on my psp and i remembered how to find the games, i want to fix it but it lots of parts needs to replaced, but it looks to buy a new unit, at least still one of a childhood gaming relics for me.

I dunno if i gonna buy the "go" or the 3000 model

I've never seen anyone make a video of this idea but let me ask you, you could try making a video of it, playing psp in a public place or sitting in the train next to a stranger and playing psp next to them to see if they see you playing, will they recognize it, like : hey man that is psp right ? or yooo i haven't seen anyone play psp in a long time. like watching them react when there are still psp players up to this point . because at the moment there are many game consoles like nintendo switch on the market, but psp has been around for a long time and few people play. That's the video idea I came up with
