My 16 year old daughter just brought Mark 7 up to me last night int he car, as well as Galatians, we try to keep the Torah (to the best of our abilities) but she's been having theological discussions with friends who are still involved in replacement theology. I find it ironic that Peter's warning regarding Paul's words being difficult to understand and could lead the unlearned and unstable to the error of lawlessness were given to the Galatians.

Sometimes, when I hear this argument so many times and over and over … I think the law, the actual word law should actually be interpreted as instructions. The penalty for breaking the law has been paid, but only if you adhere to the instructions of our Most High Elohiem. Beautiful and perfect in His plan. Thanks Zack, love you my brother.

When read through the lens of keeping the law, the passage makes more sense. The law does not justify us. It is the instruction for righteousness. Christ is the atoning and justifying sacrifice. Yet we do not build up sin (lawlessness) or we attempt to make Christ the lord of sin, and God forbid that!

Or the 3rd option... when Paul speaks like he isnt "under the law" anymore it's because he speaks as though he is already resurrected but not yet. This is bc the promises are secured to Paul and us via the Messiah. Phil 3:10-14 explains this rather well. "Want to know Christ" but yet he speaks like he knows christ. This is why he says I haven't arrived at my goal yet. He is only telling us to count yourself resurrected even though you live today here

If you start with Galatians and compare the rest of the Bible to Galatians, then Galatians is your foundation.

Yeshua said
Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Matthew 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

We are to start with His Words as the foundation and try to match the rest of the Bible with His Words. [remember it was also Yeshua who spoke to Moshe face to face and gave Moshe the commandments]

Galatians is good its not the foundation but more of a sidewall or roof as in its part of the house but its held up by Yeshua’s words. Continuing with the house analogy, you can’t build a house atop of a sidewall or roof. It will eventually collapse like a house of cards when the storm [the great tribulation] comes.

When Paul speaks of the law, he is also referring to two types of "law" in his teaching.
The above, Covenant Torah spiritual Torah (law), and the below law of man made laws, earthly, carnal, human desire law of earthly desire.
