I don’t understand all the hate you are getting for this video. This information is well presented and you addressed the cost. I believe this is one of your better videos. Thank you for all you do.

Brent, bought the Shaper Origin a few years ago and can’t imagine not having it in my shop. I am constantly finding new applications for it. It brings a degree of accuracy that is unparalleled. Limitless possibilities.

Certainly one of the best videos on the use of this tool. I've been seeing it used for years, but you did a great job breaking it down! I feel like I could effectively use just from watching your video. Looking forward to more content to see what else it can do and how easily it can do it.

I recently picked up the refurbished Gen 1 to make it more financially feasible for me to pick up an Origin. Also ended up getting the Workstation as I think I will use it more for the purposes I picked up the Origin. I haven't used it as of yet and have been watching some of the intro videos to learn the tool. This was a great explanation of the basic usage of the Origin and the Workstation. Those complaining about the price or how they could have done this with their Domino haven't seen the other uses of the Origin or lack knowledge/imagination on applying this tool to other projects beyond the basic mortis and tenon. Keep on with enjoying the tool and applying it to your projects. I look forward to seeing the uses you apply the Origin to your future projects.

Great video. I've owned Shaper for several years. I started out using it for carbon fiber and metal. It's an awesome addition to the shop.

Great content. I've saidnit before, your method and manner are excellent and the ShaperOrigin looks like one hell of a great tool and to heck with those hating....

Thank you for an honest and comprehensive look at this tool. Being so versatile means the first set up for any piece will be a lengthy and to an extent tedious procedure. You’d need to be making an awful lot of identical joints to make that time spent worthwhile. So I’d conclude it is a high end tool for high value work.

I've had my shaper gen. 1 for a couple of years and I love it, it's simply the most groundbreaking tool I've ever had in my hands and it has changed my approach to my projects in a way that no other tool has. It enables me to create projects of a completely different caliber than before, I love that machine - and yes the price is high, but the joy of the results it produces is even higher 🥰

GM Bent, outstanding, I’ve owned my shaper origin for about a year now. This video is by far the best . Very informative you make it very simple to understand how to get from point A to point B. In fact, all your videos are like that great job thanks!!
Have a great week…😎

Professional furniture maker here. I've added an Origin to my shop, with WorkStation and Plate, set up on a dedicated bench, and it's changing the way things go in my shop. I can do some layout and let my part timers loose on making joinery and such, and it's pretty fool proof once you learn how to park the material in the various jigs and such. Love this little beast.

Best video I’ve seen showing the actual set up and use of this. I have a 32x32 cnc currently and have loved the idea of the shaper but not decided to pull the trigger yet. Will be watching for more of your videos featuring it.

Thanks Jason. I always learn something. I ordered the Origin back in 2017 during the kickstarter phase or whatever. It launched me back into woodworking making boxes, stools, games and all other types items. The most fun has been watching Shaper grow and evolve the tools and the industry. Thanks again

Saw this years ago at a festool show and tell event before you could purchase. Seemed pretty cool but as a hobbyist just making furniture for family and friends don't see the use case for myself at this time. That being said, I look forward to seeing what you can do with the product. Your content is top notch and you have saved my butt a number of times! Thanks !!

Awesome product. I have seen this demoed at different locations. Always great to see the innovation that technology can bring us. Time is money. Not for everyone but glad it is available to the consumer.

I've had mine about as long and really love the abilities lt has given me. I am not a hand tool guy so now I can do more than before. You gave a great demo and it was spot on. You might not know but Shaper has reconditioned Gen 1's like mine and have all capabilities as a Gen 2. Mine never goes into its sustainer.😊

Not many people can afford to buy all of their power tools at once. I bought mine on birthdays and Christmas and even for Mother’s Day. I had a dewalt miter saw, and my dream was to get a sliding compound miter saw, and I did. It took me 30 years to justify it, and when I did, it was amazing. Keep sharing your videos. There are miserable people everywhere.

I’ve had mine for a little over 3 years now (Gen 1 machine). I use it on everything. There is even a very decent way to cut dovetails now. Shaper Sessions are very helpful in mastering techniques. Those sessions are not cheap to produce, and sure they are marketing as well. But they are doing a lot to increase/improve the skill of their user base.
