I’ve lost over 200 pounds now. Going from 402 to 198.

Lost 100lbs 5 years ago (over the span of a year). Went for a regular checkup with my doctor. He asked, "How'd you do it?" I told him diet and exercise - eat better, move more. He asked if I could talk to his other patients that think there's some other way.

“Only 5 lbs a month”
That’s over a pound a week without changing their diet…that’s good lol

People are inherently lazy. They love hearing that they don’t have to exercise, ESPECIALLY when it’s cardio. I think a lot of fitness iNfLuEnCeRs push the no-cardio solution because people will sign up on that basis alone 🙄

Been skinny fat most of the last decade and a half. Adding 30 min on the bike the last 6 months has almost completely melted the rest of my stubborn bodyfat off. I'm so shredded right now for the first time. Never thought I'd get rid of these love handles but I did.

Do cardio.

Once I started walking 4+ miles a day, no change in diet I lost 15 pounds in the first month, cardio is VITAL for weight loss

To their point that exercise often makes you hungry - I agree. However, I noticed exercising makes me crave salads, chicken, fruit. On lazy days on the other hand, all I want to eat is sugar and Cheetos.

& sometimes when u work hard enough, exercise actually suppresses appetite - it just depends on what you’re doing and to what intensity

Here in Mexico we live in the stone age when it comes to nutrition and exercise, you have no idea how much you are helping around the globe, coach!

Telling people that exercise is useless for weight loss is near criminal.

Also note that exercise detractors rarely if ever talk about body fat percentage.

I miss the days of Covert Bailey 😞

I went into basic at 195 pounds and left at 162 in 8 weeks. They ran our asses off. Cardio was our drill instructors fat loss weapon of choice 😂

What's crazy to me is that the link between exercise and mental health is not talked about enough. Especially in people with disordered eating who don't use exercise as a compensatory method. Personally, when I exercise regularly, my mental health improves and my eating decreases. I'm more in tune with my physical nutrition needs/hunger cues. I'm more likely to use exercise to alleviate stress or emotional duress than food. My self esteem goes up. I feel productive. I'm more conscious of how I fuel my body because I don't want to be weak or uncomfortable when I work out. Exercise does a LOT more for weight loss than burn calories. Sure, diet is important. But in my opinion, exercise plays a key role in the mental aspect of weight loss.

Proper diet & exercise IS the best way to lose weight! Always has been, ALWAYS will be!
Edit: Coach, where’s the “Put The Fork Down!” Merch?

I love this response Greg! You make me lol. Question for you... have you ever used Next Level Diet? Their custom meal plans have helped me burn a bunch of fat! Cheers

50lbs down in 3 months using treadmill only. Yeah I did some light fasting but it was 20 miles a week that cut me from 3x shirts to 1x before I could even notice it.

Goal is to wear L shirts by end of the year and then I’m aiming for 15% body fat before I hit 30 next year.

This topic shouldn’t even be up for debate anymore. I personally have lost 50 pounds in 2 months just by adding 30 minutes of steady state cardio to my gym routine and cutting out sugar. The way to loose weight is to diet and exercise. End of story.

I started to do consistent cardio minimum 150min a week because of Coach Greg 2 years ago👏Honestly he is so motivating i am forever thankful for him for teaching me so many things to improve my health, fitness, physique and my attitude to life 🤩

I literally lost 60lbs in a year with changes to my diet and including a more strict running and weight lifting routine. It may not sound like a lot but 60lbs off the body helped me run faster, be more fit, it literally improved my life in every aspect. At first you might feel tired all day but as you get better you can, as greg said, go about your day after a really intense training session. I don’t understand how exercise could be disregarded like that, an even worst, loosing any amount of fat.

Lost almost 80lbs since 2020. Listening and laughing at this while lifting and walking. Down 3lbs since last week.

Keep spitting truth, Coach! Couldn’t have made this far without your advice. Cheers!

Thanks Greg. This kind of disinformation is very frustrating. Glad to see you taking it on head to head.
