Rain Sensing Windshield Wipers Explained

I was hoping for an explanation on how they actually work.

My fiesta has them but don't work correctly hardly any rain and they go crazy and when it rains heavy they hardly move

If your wipers cycle once and then stop on the lower speeds, your rain sensor is at fault. Unplug it and the wipers will cycle normally.

yeah... that's useful, i always found it hard to turn on the wipers lol
(they keep inventing useless shtt like this, so that when it breaks down, the wipers will not work at all, and so that they can fix it for you) avoid
