We live in a world of unseeable beauty, so subtle and delicate that it is imperceptible to the human eye. To bring this invisible world to light, filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg bends the boundaries of time and space with high-speed cameras, time lapses and microscopes. At TED2014, he shares highlights from his latest project, a 3D film titled "Mysteries of the Unseen World," which slows down, speeds up, and magnifies the astonishing wonders of nature.

TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). Look for talks on Technology, Entertainment and Design -- plus science, business, global issues, the arts and much more.

first of all, this made me cry
Second:
it's sad how we waste unimaginable money on sports and celebrities and very little on science&technology that could change our lives

As a self-declared scientist, and someone who loves science with a roaring passion, this video was amazing. I was almost in tears watching our breathing earth, and scaling into see the dna and molecules. This is the kind of stuff we need to show people in order to help them understand how BEAUTIFUL our planet and our universe are. How insanely amazing life is, and how much people are missing by not just sitting back and thinking about whats going on around them from time to time. Amazing video.

I can't believe that I'm watching this fully in English! I'm so glad I didn't give up studying this language so I could someday enjoy such a thing! :)

Never forget, our bodies can heal, we just have to give them the right conditions.

Technology brings greater and closer understanding of our natural world. Man has never seen or appreciated nature better than this before. The word amazing is really an understatement.

You are the Essence of the Essence,
The intoxication of Love.
I long to sing Your Praises
but stand mute
with the agony of wishing in my heart !

I'm a big fan of Louie Schwartberg"s work. I've watched Moving Art repeatedly. Unnusual nature shots accompanied by marvelous musical soundtracks are almost hypnotic. His use of drone camera footage is especially innovative and will certainly be imitated in the future.

Having said that, I must point out that some of the drone work is immoral and possibly criminal. Specifically drones forcing animals to stampede. In "Machu Picchu", a drone stampedes a herd of alpacas. In "Hokkaido", a herd of Japanese deer. In "Marquesas Islands", horses. It makes for a great shot, exciting and powerful. Yet it unneccessarily endangers the herd.

Stampeding animals is not only stressful to the beasts, but may separate mothers from their young. Stampeding may cause injury to those that fall, breaking their legs or causing them to be trampled by the herd. It's illegal to stampede a herd of animals in the United States, and if Mr. Schwartberg's drone pilots had stampeded say - a herd of bison at Yellowstone, Rangers would have arrested them.

Wonderful power and technology. It could do so much good in the world. Unfortunately, by looking around, it is quite obvious to see that we are not mature enough to handle it. In our current state of evolution where materialism is put above morality, do we stand a chance? I hope so...

Wow! Gave me chills!
And while most of these ideas are incredible and wonderful, when it comes to exploring and spreading to currently uninhabited parts of the world...sometimes I wish we would just leave them alone... we take up so much room as a species, it would be nice to think that there are some places left for others

Auguries of Innocence
To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
