I've lived in SoCal for about five years, and have never gone out and explored LA's Filipinotown. I've never really tried to go because I can already make a good amount of the foods in my cuisine, and it's a point of pride for me, lol.
But we can always get new ideas from expeditions like these, and this video makes me want to get out there. What a humbling and enlightening experience.

Random but... I love Filipino people. Here in the UK, they are the friendliest of nurses IMO and I just came off the phone with one (rebooking an appointment) and she pronounced my surname PERFECTLY! She made my morning. I had to tell her how nicely she said my name and she seemed so happy. Effortlessly broke down Sou-a-ssou, which so many people find difficult and butcher all the time. E.g. Somassou, Sodomosou, Soussa etc. No exaggeration, people actually add and delete letters when pronouncing it.
