Its not about english, its about the expression. Especially, if you have studied your whole life in english medium schools, you are expected to not make common grammatical mistakes. 200% agree with Nehru sir. I failed in ssb because of poor expression of ideas, which meant that I lacked clarity. Friends wali english reflects poorly on your personality and lack of efforts by oneself.

Even if hindi becomes the medium of communication at ssb, then also I can guarantee you that 90% of the lot cannot write/speak proper Hindi.

Blame your efforts, success will follow.

He is right English is no more language that is limited to Englishmen its global and our officers should be well versed with it. But i feel bad for Hindi medium students they have high enthusiasm for Defence forces but may lag because of this.

If you are eliminating a deserving candidate just Becoz he is can't speak English then I think psychologist needs to change their psychology. English is just a language. meanwhile in his training period where English speaking environment is always present he will definitely learn this language too.

As Defence Aspirants have to give written exam which contains English of good level.
Why good assessor like you don't even think it important to go through the psych test of all candidates.
I think good candidate also get rejected due to improper way of assessing..

As an officer sometimes we have to represent our country in any bilateral meetings or multinational exercises. Also in the Academies like IMA some cadets from the friendly foreign countries are also being trained. That is why English becomes one of the important factors in the SSB interview. No doubt, Global language plays very crucial role to connect people across world, but in my opinion rather than focusing on merely language is not justice with students from Hindi background.Indian system needs to change their colonial criteria and focusing on Core competency, critical and analytical skills of candidates, Japanese, Russians, Chinese, France defence forces not even care about "Angrezi"... Irony is even I'm writing this message in English from teenage i have hate against Britishers unnecessary i had to learn this language.In Indian society people thinks who knows English they must be an intelligent people and have high class standard, Learning a new language helps an individual to enhance his interpersonal skills, but emphasis on merely a language is not a right choice. langauge of armed forces in India also give equal importance to hindi language too like in civil services .
