From having never owned a cat to now owning a Bengal, I’ve learned SO much about this cute and crazy breed in the last 3 months! Bengals are definitely not for everyone and the decision to get one should not be taken lightly. Hopefully through sharing my experience with my Bengal kitten Nova, you can decide whether they are right for you.

Thank you for this! As a veteran with PTSD you've just saved our family and the potential new addition a TON of stress. I love the look and attitude of Nova, but those antics would have me on high alert 24 / 7.

Loved the video! I actually watched it twice already because I cannot get over my bengal fantasy:) I have two questions though: the first being about the amount of shedding to expect? Even though I absolutely adore cats I wonder how much Bengal hair will be lying around, clinging to sofas and clothes. As I have long dark hair myself there is already a bit of a "hair problem" around the house haha.. And then, the second thing is how well they adapt to being "babysitted"? My husband and I do enjoy traveling every now and then and would then rely on my parents-in-law to step in and take care of our potential bengal "pair". We thought to get two so they could also have each other to play with when the "parents" need a little break in between. Can they adapt to being in a new environment/with new caretakers temporarily or should you rather plan them into your vacations? The flexibility of both would be great..

Anyway, I really look forward to your feedback! Thank you for taking the time:)

I have a Bengal senior who moved in with me one day and just never left (I tried not feeding him, he responded by bringing rabbits back to my house and eating their heads in my bedroom. Bengals are excellent hunters)

He often folows me all the way to the shops, I have a worry that if I get Bengal kittens, they'll follow me INTO the shops and shoplift some cat treats!

Where does one get a bengal kitten and how can you be sure your breeder is ethical and legitimate?

My bengal is 12 years but he seems more like 3 years old. Still crazy and adorable. My bengal has a border collie sister and he stalkes her daily. Great fun.

My parents have two bengals, male and female. They are the calmest, most gentle cats they’ve ever had. They are very mellow and only have about an hour of “silly time” each day, but it’s pretty regular cat behaviour: chasing each other, playing with toys, etc. They love my parents dog and everyone gets along. Most of the time they are napping, looking out the windows… pretty common cat stuff…

All so true, you have been warned. That said, my Bengal passed away and miss her every day.

Mine was a bengal tabby mix. Another word of caution would be they take your heart.

Oh my, Nova is a cutie! This video is excellent and now I’ve been forewarned! A neighbor lady upstairs has a pair of grown bengals. In a one bedroom apartment yet! Can you believe that!

hi im about to get a bangle cat however my only problem is that I have to leave home for max of 4 days because of work. I maybe can have somebody come and see the cat but I dont want to depend on her for that. do you think this is a good idea?

We got one from the shelter to replace the tabby we had that passed away. We had no idea it was a Bengal. It was my iPhone that identified her as one when I took a picture. She is everything you talk about in this video. She's been driving us crazy but we really love her.

Two months ago I adopted a kitten, a boy, and have had cats all my life (I'm 68). I watched your videos since you began airing them, and I simply love her!! I now believe Marlin is part Bengal; after diligently researching this breed plus your incredible videos I'm 95 percent certain he's a Bengal. Marlin is like no other cat I've had! He's crazy!! Certifiably!!! Thank you from the deepest recesses of my heart b/c your vids provided the most evidence for me. Have a great day, and a great life with your husband and both Nova and Ezra!
