I focus especially on the Nurse Aide skills test and explain how the skills test is given, my tips on being prepared for the skills test, and my personal experience taking and passing the skills test.

I let my MO CNA lapse while being a SAHM so I’m redoing it in NC to become a nurse and honestly after this video, I’m relieved. In MO I was working at a long term care facility that had 90 days to get all 12 of us new NAs certified. They waited until we only had 4 weeks left. Did the entire course in 4 weeks and only 3 of us passed, me being one of them. We did our written test then went to a LTC facility to do the rest. We were tested on hand washing, glove wearing and removal, how to make a bed🙄, respirations, radial pulse, blood pressure, flexion, extension, range of motion, gait, hoyer lift, sit to stand, two person lifts, one person lifts, dental care, perineal care, input and output measurements and so much more. I even had to give a resident a shower. It was a literal all day event😅
