Aww yeah the baptism textual basis is the missing link from my long held theory that Asajj should have had a similiar arc to Ahsoka.

You did an excellent job addressing the canon and thematic concerns about bringing her back. I think there needs to be more discussion about the out of universe reasons for letting her live.

I question the choice of killing her off in 2016, when TCW and prequel stories didn't have the same "political capital" that they have now. We know that GL was on Team "Ahsoka Dies" during the original run. Was Asajj's fate based on a similar George take? Or maybe that, and a combination of LFL not seeing a future for the character? Does it make sense to kill her off now, in an era where characters like Rex and Cad are getting stories told well into the OT era, and when Dathomir is becoming a power player in the Thrawn stories.

Also, am I the only one who wants to hear Katie Lucas's take on these developments?
