The whole point of wealth for me is freedom. My magic number in my mind is $5 million needed at 65 to not worry about anything and i am halfway there. Since i am closing in on retirement, i am searching for an aggressive strategy to boost my Roth accounts and maximize the tax-free profits.

"If your broke friends arent making fun of you, youre doing it wrong." My favorite quote, when I sold my 2016 Tacoma that had me $30k in debt and bought a cheap car in cash, my broke friends thought it was hilarious! But now im debt free and with my savings building up, soon ill be the one laughing! :)

The parking lot at work is full of big trucks driven by workmates who get nervous if there isn't any overtime everyday. I drive a paid for small car and i will be retiring soon.

just sold a property in Portland and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying its ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $200k gains with months, I'm really just confused at this point.

52 this year. Just diagnosed with cancer on Christmas eve. But surgery and much prayer has given me a new lease on life. THE FIRE IS LIT!! For the first time in my life the wife and I are on the same page financially. And with God and Dave's help we are moving like a run away train toward financial freedom.

"you're not even there yet and you're breathing easier." I love that. It really illustrates how being debt free and having an emergency fund can totally change your life.

I feel SO AWFUL for being so mindless with money in these past 25-years. I lived without budgeting.. I lived in late-fees and overdraft city...
I took out student loans to go to classes, and never did achieve getting that degree... Also, a few years ago, I drew out what little 401k savings I did have..
To think, if I had saved for all of these years Ive been working, I could be RETIRING soon!! ... (I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for what I've done, and not done)... and now, So now, age 43, I've begun my financial make-over.

Step 1: Start saving towards an emergency fund. ($1, 000).
Step 2: Get rid of all your debts except your house.
Step 3: Slowly build on that emergency fund to cover 3-6 months expenses in your life.

This show should become a required High School/College course to take in order to graduate. Dave for president.

Dave, I'm so glad I found you before I ended up like some of your callers. My wife and I are about 20, 000$ in debt and combined we only make 35ish. But our rent is only 400$! We just started Monday and our emergency fund already has 550$ and if all goes to plan, we should be debt free in two years!

Consumer spending is the worst thing you can do. The highest form of entertainment is peace of mind and overall health!

5:35: “If people aren’t making fun of you, you’re probably not on track”

I have had co-workers make fun of me for the car I drive for years. However, these same co-workers have recently begun asking my advice for how to run a household and get out of debt. Talk about a confidence boost when you don’t have to impress someone else with what you own.

I put down 25k cash on a car and the car salesman was shocked....he was like....how could someone at the age of 27 pay for a car in full?

I came across your channel because I was looking for advice on how to buy my next car. Well, that changed. I guess I'll be paying off the 2 I have, and grow up. I just needed someone to tell me that. Great clip!

I'm so grateful to be debt free & have my emergency fund. We're blessed to only have our home mortgage payment left. Thanks Dave! I was doing your system without even knowing it, good common sense money management.
