Holy Week isn't like any other week of the year. So why do we sometimes treat it like any other week?

On February 3rd I received the St Blaise blessing of throats from Father Passo. One hour (yes, 1 hour) after the blessing I had my monthly blood draw. After FIGHTING an aggressive form of cancer that metastasized, I was cancer free. Just…..like…..THAT.
Needless to say, doctors are perplexed. God has healed me through the intercession of St Blaise at St Edward the Confessor Parish in Phoenix Arizona.
Because of my amazing healing, Father Passo will be having a special St Blaise blessing.
God is amazing.

The empty tabernacle on Holy Saturday makes my heart grieve for nonbelievers… The sight leads me to contemplate, and pray, for the lives who are in a constant state of being without the true source of life, hope, faith and love. Thank you Father Mark for the wonderful advice! I'm 17 and will be entering the Church next year. I didn't know exactly what to do or expect for Lent and Holy Week because it is my first time experiencing it in a Catholic way. There are many things that I think I could have done better for Lent, but I will take it as a lesson from our Lord of how I can surrender myself to Him better. Thanks again!

Totally agree about people talking at full volume in church. So disrespectful in many ways. People are there to spend quiet time with our Lord. Not understanding why this has happened. There is no respect for anything anymore. So sad!

This Sunday is the anniversary of when I was received into the Church [calendar date, April 20 1978, it was not Easter that year]. I like to observe April 20 as a ''spiritual birthday'' and day of thanksgiving.

I have work this week and Friday is my only time off. Praying that this week will be a time to reflect for most, and a time to reform and transform

Faith has been watered down big time here in the Philippines. Some people treat Holy Week as a mere vacation only. I hope everyone goes back to observe tradition, especially this one.
