If you have the X100V, keep it.
No shade - great camera but it's a generation you can skip.

I am a 100% still photographer, and I love this camera. I love the size and the battery for me lasts all day with my primarily OVF shooting. The controls are wonderful. I do value the 40 megapixels. A f2.8 the lens is paired perfectly with the sensor. At f2, the lens can’t fully resolve the sensor. Not a big deal for me.

That being said, UHS-I is just Fuji being cheap. When I travel I often just plug my camera into my laptop or phone, and it would be far better if the off loading of photos would be faster.

For your use, I completely understand that reasonable expectation.

I watched the first 6 minutes of this video before turning it off… it’s almost impressive how many words this guy can speak without saying anything.

Well said Dee. I thought I was going crazy until we both shared that we had similar issues. As far as I’m concerned, it’s X-Pro4 time 🤷🏾‍♂️

I recently sold my X100V. I really wanted to love it as it's a beautiful and very capable camera but it just wasn't right for me personally. Currently eying up the Panasonic GX80 as I've always had great experiences with Lumix cameras.

Adjusting for inflation since release the X100v would cost $1689 in 2024. So Fuji added IBIS and a 40mp sensor for $1599 and you are upset?

I really hope they nail the x pro 4. But I think that’s the problem with building a brand off of every camera literally being the same, your only changing/choosing the body style.

I don't need 6.2K video and UHS-I cards are cheaper than UHS-II card. So all in all, it's a win for me. But I understand if there is a feature which cannot be utilised properly.

Agreed. UHS-II and the new battery was a miss for sure. AF-C was also finicky in video mode for me, even with an obvious high contrast (easy to focus on) subject.

*To sum up this video, i have a bottomless pit of brain, all i did in the video is act like a little bit*ch and rant about a portable camera that doesn't have feature other fujicam have. And because basic logic i can't seem to understand why people would get this camera and why fuji didn't upgrade all its part...

Actually the x100v lens is no longer good enough for the new sensor….so it’s not a good idea to even get this version. Either get x100v or wait for x100vii.

I’ve only used the x100s a long time ago. It wasn’t really for me. I often wonder if the x100v would be different. I decided to go with X-T5 and smaller lenses. I know Reala Ace is coming to the X-T5 and am looking forward to that.

I am sorry, but I am gonna need to push back on your opinion on hating this camera because it is overhyped. For the context I am on my 2nd X100V (Sold the first one for 2k, regret my decision and bought it again) and before x100v I owned X100s.
I am not hating on the camera, but I find that there are legitimate reasons to think this camera is overhyped and the hype really does disservice for most of the people who purchase this camera.
I have seen people who bought X100V or VI as they're first camera, the users are not aware if they even like 35mm as a focal length, they do not really find a need for a optical viewfinder, since they mostly use evf, leafshrutter is something they do not really need and with X100VI the megapixel count is just bonkers for any first camera buyer.
These first camera buyers just buy X100VI because that is the only camera they know, but lets face the facts these people are paying for features they do not need and they would be better of with any other camera, like for example XE4 or maybe even XPRO3. Most of the pros these people find with X100vi can be found on those two models. Sadly it appears XE4 is discontinued and like with XPRO3 it is unknown when if ever new models of those cameras will ever be available on the market. Without any facts to prove it I do partially blame the success on X100V on why Fuji has not made those new models.

I've had X100T, X100V, and now the X100VI (for about 3 weeks now). I can also confirm that it feels like a minor upgrade from the V. Jumping from T to the V was significant because there was a lens upgrade. If you have the V, I do not see the reason for someone to upgrade. IBIS is overrated but it might be because I do not shoot long-exposure shots. The 40 mega-pixels is an overkill for this type of camera as well. Just prepare to get more hard drive space. I only got this camera because I got my X100V stolen and I missed it dearly.

I was interested in this camera to replace my 100V.But when they went made in China I was out!

And I’m happy I did, I’m really enjoying the Nikon ZF I decided to get.

But I had to least watch your video review since your entire stick is all about over the top bluntness and it didn’t disappoint with several points.

I don't really understand why the comment section is the way it is, are people really just this upset about a random person talking about a camera based of there opinions? Like I was watching this on 2 times speed which makes everything sounds more aggressive and "angry" but you just sounded like you were having a convo saying "it's good at what it should do but fundamentally it's really not that great of an upgrade"

The main feature of the X100VI is that they can actually fulfill orders.

Absolutley agree with everything. It is a great camera...as great as the mistake of a UHS-I SD card slot.

You can market it all you want. You can add all the software features you want. At the end of the day if the final image it produces is not $800-$1200 better than a camera made 5-10 yrs earlier, then its overhyped. Companies have to sell something and innovations in software and chips move faster than innovations in optics.

Ive felt the 'boring' vibe recently while trying out the Lumix S5ii. Great camera, very capable but it was super dull to use and I realised it was because it was doing nothing that I hadn't seen or had access to before. For photography now it's really hard to give us something different so we tend to vibe with cameras for other reasons, for me that's enjoyment of use as I know capability is always covered. I agree with the churning out of upgrades and because of the limit of what they can push it can feel like very minimal upgrades which then for a thinking consumer puts doubt into whether to drop cash or not. The VI felt like one of those releases and, if I still shot Fujifilm, I don't think there would be enough to upgrade to. Always refreshing to hear someones opinion on a piece of gear and good you don't sheep the rest of the internet and just give it how it is.

Ya agree. Honestly the F it still my favorite though. I prefer the older "softer" lens. ngl want it back. Also I think a majority of people don't even need more than the T model too.
