As a tall girl, this hits close to home. I was always the tallest girl in my classes since elementary school. By the time I was 10 and in 5th grade, I was 5'4. I was usually either bullied because of my height, since I was taller than all the boys, or people were afraid of me. I once got asked out by a male lifeguard when I was in 4th grade. He said he was 16 and I looked like I was about 15. To clear things up, I have percosious puberty or however you spell it. It's when your body ages faster than its supposed to, and yes, it's an actual medical condition that I got diagnosed with by an actual doctor when j was in 3rd grade. I usually get mistaken for being older because of how tall I am, and I've been offered drinks multiple times when out with friends at the mall or some stores. Being out of the "beauty standard" or "height standard", whether if your below 6'3 for males or above 5'4 or whatever the standard height is for girls in the US, then you can be made fun of really easily.

My girlfriend is 1.91m tall (6'3 feet), and I'm a bit shorter than her (1.84m/6'1 feet). This video made me think about her the whole time, as the situations portrayed here are pretty much spot on, because she also used to wish to not grow taller, feeling as she did not fit in with other girls. I honestly don't get why some people get the ick when they meet a girl who is taller than them, and the worst part is that she had to confront people who mocked her sexually because of that, in a very similar situation as in 7:03.

Being a tall girl doesn't neccesarily mean to be masculine, I honestly think that perception is extremely toxic, superficial, and rooted in stupid prejudices and insecurities. I'd like to tell everyone who thinks that way that they don't know what they're talking about and they are honestly missing out on super sweet potential partners.

To all the tall queens: Take pride in who you are, and NEVER let someone bring you down because of something so natural and out of your control as your stature, because there are men out there, like me, who think that tall girls are super sexy 😉
