We have a 2016 honda amaze diesel top variant.

If driven properly, it gives 22 kmpl in city traffic, if driven roughly it gives 18.6 kmpl in city traffic.

We get 23-25 kmpl on the highway even when cruising on 110 kmph or 120 kmph, you just need to maintain rpm below 2k on high gears.

Nice torque with a decent mileage.
My Honda diesel gives me always 30+ kmpl in mix condition.

Diesel turbos have been a great companion for a lot of highway drivers due to excellent mid-range performance, even in high gears (4th, 5th, 6th) and no need to mash the throttle while overtaking with even cars having 200 NM torque.

My diesel Verna 1.6 gives around 28 in highways (tested on Kolkata to Jamshedpur route). In city, it gives 17-18, with AC. And that low down 260Nm torque is just addictive.

I have extracted 21.5 kmpl from my honda city v 5g petrol ... cruise control set at 90 kmph for most of the 240 km drive. WITHOUT HYBRID.

My diseal honda city gives 25+ easily with light foot and dont forget petrol is almost 10-15% expensive too

Checking the density of fuel on both the pumps while refueling ll give you a better idea of mileage.

I miss the 1.6 crdi, 2.0 tdi, 1.5 tdi they are so powerful.. i wont miss the honda diesel engine because that engine isnt that great but fuel efficient.. many fuel efficient conscious persons definetly miss the idtec diesel motor because of mileage
