Through Count Dooku, he created an enemy in the Outer Rim, and the clone army he prepared in advance became the saviors of the Core worlds. Directing both sides ensured planned defeats for the Republic followed each victory. Controlling the Senate was simple: Senators feared reelection if they failed to support the beloved Supreme Chancellor. The Jedi were forced to fight, driving them to the edge of the dark side by compromising their morals on the battlefield. When he was ready to remove the Jedi, staging the Jedi coup gave the people relief when they saw smoke rising from the Jedi Temple. Luke Skywalker discovered this book in the Emperor's Storehouse on Wayland and was shocked at what he read. There was no mention of Sidious’ master plan in any other Clone Wars records.

Something that has never been explored and I would want to see is Palpatine's Sith Holocron. You know the man made one.
I can only imagine how wild a story that would be if a show or movie delved into it.

Instead of "What Have You Become" as Obi-Wan said to his old padiwan... Its actually, thanks to the machinations of Sidious, similar could be said of the Jedi, "What Have The Jedi Become." Transitioning to soldiers instead of keepers of the peace.
