Not only is breakfast NOT the most important meal of the day, most cereals are just not good for your body. However, that doesn't mean that there aren't some options that are actually pretty decent.

Just plain old oatmeal works for me if I have any type of cereal. If I want some fats, I can always add some nuts and if I want some sweetness to it, I can add some fruit, very versatile.

Uncle Sam cereal is great if you don't want sugar, <1 gram per serving. Found it on Amazon. Pretty chewy so you can break down the wheat berry and the flax seeds so your stomach doesn't have to work so hard digesting them. I add Orgain organic protein powder (vegan) then Silk unsweetened almond milk. I have cereal every morning. I have about five different types of cereal for a variety. Thanks for the video.

I love adding grape nuts to oatmeal or even yogurt with fruit for a little texture.

What about Shredded Wheat? It has no sugar or added sugar plus 8g dietary fiber, but it shows 49g carb, where do the carbs come from?

I hardly ever eat cereal at all in the morning. For me, it's usually straight black coffee or hot, unsweetened green tea. I do love a hot bowl of oatmeal better than cereal because of how versatile it can be, but I only reserve my oatmeal a few hours before bed because it relaxes me. It's rich in melatonin.

I never have cereal on its own. Sometimes I add a healthy granola to my plain greek yogurt along with fruit and some spices like Cinnamon and Ginger. Of course, chia seeds and a little almond milk to change the thick texture. I used to get the 365 Chai Spice granola, but I'm not near a Whole Foods anymore. :(

It's real easy to break down what's good or bad for you. If it tastes good it's bad for you and if tastes like crap, it's good for you. There you go, you're welcome

Cheerios, not the Honey Nut ones, have just 2g of sugar. Isn’t the plain one a healthier option compared to everything else from General Mills or Kellog, etc?

Hey
I've just started my own journey of losing weight, and i managed to go down 24 lbs.
But something that i feel guilty about is eating honey, I have quit sugar for a long time but kept the Honey as sweetener for drinks.
What's your idea about Honey?
Note: the honey is home made, as from a trusted farm.

You can pair sugary cereal with a high protein and/or high fiber source and that will limit the sugar spike & crash

Grape-Nuts are sometimes called "grain nuts" and are not related to grapes or nuts. Charles William Post's process for turning wheat, barley, salt, and yeast into crunchy morsels is said to result in the creation of "grape sugars" and provide a nutty texture. And added sugars r no good esp in high amts.
