the "minty" smell from the primer is the teatree. it does smell quite a lot like mint, but teatree has really good antibacterial powers

Just an update: I emailed elf after this video and they said the $1 brushes were made out of Horse hair, but the hair was obtained in a CF way.

fun fact: Horse tail hair is used to make the bows for string instruments.

the contour palette the cream and regular is the bomb!! the maximum coverage concealer is amazing too.. for only 3 bucks it's covers so well and it's not watery or anything

I believe the 1$ brushes were indeed animal hair, but they recently switched everything to synthetic so it' officially 100% cruelty free lol

I like the elf primer but I was so disappointed when I ran out of product so quick. I opened the container and for sure it was a rip off. Try opening the primer container, you'll see what I'm talking about

love the video!! my favorite product from elf has to be the eyebrow brush but what i do not like is the elf clear mascara and brow gel that made my eyelashes fall and my eyebrows felt hard even though i put a little of the product on my brow

The eye shadow primer and under eye Hydrating primer are 2 of my favs that I use EVERYDAY! The studio brushes are amazing too. I use the eye shadow brush, large flat top brush, and the blush brush everyday in my regular routine. The blush palette is great too for regular use.

I use to use the elf brush cleaner but for $4 more (and twice the size) you can get the Sonia kashuk brush and sponge cleaner at target. OMG, it is amazing and I think you'd love it!!

The minty smell in the pore less face primer is coming from the ingredient tea tree oil which helps prevent acne and helps control oil.

I think they might have changed the formula to the studio blushes they are much softer now ❤️☺️

Hi, Caitlyn, I replied to this video the other day reporting that I had the same experience with the elf moisturizing foundation on a stick. Today, I tried a different application. I stippled it into my pores with my fingers. It worked! No breakage or sitting on top of my skin. Just this difference in application has changed my opinion and I definitely would buy this product again. :-)
