if i don't have a lighter, what makes you think ill have steel wool or a cr123 battery

You can just wrap the steel whool around the battery. There is no need for the knife

I always carry 1 steel wool, 1 swiss army knife and 1 cr123. Instead of a lighter good to know

literally just touch the steel wool to a 9v battery way easier

If your lighter runs out of fuel it'll still spark. You can scrape plastic off the lighter and use that to start a fire

That's some pretty specific equipment to have on hand. If you're choosing a battery take a 9v battery. But just take a lighter

you can buy a ferro rod that replaces the toothpick on those.

neat trick, but much easier to carry a ferro rod in toothpick or corkscrew and have the corkscrew tinder material lol

Oh if those cells gas out u will have a nice fire. The vape exploding in pocket clips u all saw where actually those high drain batteries loose in a pocket with a key or some change. Would not recommend that.

My lighter ran out of fluid, but don't worry because I packed a Swiss army knife, battery that goes to nothing, and some steel wool instead of just packing an additional lighter.
