The pacing felt too fast, particularly because the reasoning for how it works builds up from beginning to end. It takes a second to let the understanding sink in before moving, and not having it means the next part doesn't make full sense. E.g. the nuances of the two votes and what kind of power-affinity (national interest, popular interest, etc) those bodies tend to have. And if you read this far then I'll say that I am a frequent watcher I think the videos are great.

Works about the same as regular elections here:
1. There's one day for election.
2. All of the elections are in Sunday.
3. You have to brings your ID.
4. If you don't live in a place where you go to vote(ie. you don't live in the area tied to a specific voting spot, you have to notify 3-4 days before that you will vote elsewhere).

Arte(de) sponsored your video? That's a huge flex!

How do you know which parties from your country are in which group in EU parliament?

I feel more confused after watching the video. What exactly happens to the second vote, the national one? What is that for?

When we could possibly know if roberta metsola will remain as the president of the European Parliament or if we're getting the nee one?

I am an American living in Europe, not sure if this cleared things up or made me more confused haha. Can't vote anyways for 4 more years so guess it doesn't entirely matter anyways

First of all, thank you for making this video carefully. Secondly, I feel that I can understand the first part. After 3:13 I can't understand the difference between the European Council and the European Commission. I hope the video can explain it in more detail.btw EU is a complicated system...

0:03 - "It's the 9th of June. [...] You know you're about to cast a vote in the European elections".
My voting card says the 6th of June.
