The trouser block course sounds like great value if you are starting out learning to draft trousers. A tip for inserting a zipper in the side seam, I fuse a strip of interfacing or tack a piece of twill tape along the inside of the seam allowance of the zipper opening and this stops the zipper from rippling when you stitch it. I agree: capri pants are 3/4 pants, but cigarette pants (which are pretty skinny) are just above the ankle....
