Hermeneutics Gospels and Parables

Hermeneutics: The Art and Science of How to Interpret the Bible, a video series by Dr. Joe Sprinkle. This video is on the Hermeneutics of Gospels and parables. It shows examples of where comparing Gospels can illuminate, and how reading a passage in its own Gospel's context can also help. The theologically key concept of the kingdom of God is discussed with the idea presented that the kingdom has already come in one sense (inaugurated) but not yet come in fullness (consummated). Parables are defined and the purpose of parables explored, and rule for interpreting parables laid out. These rules are illustrated in the parable of the mustard seed and the parable of the leaven.
