Stop using gross pay to determine what you can afford for rent. You don't get your gross to budget with, just the net pay. So you need to make 75000 a year net pay to live comfortably there.

Crazy thing is this is a global issue. The average person is feeling it while politicians and corporations are getting wealthier.

Not everyone got stimulus checks. We didn’t get a dime. Every single dime we have made, we work hard for it.

Boomer here who bought a 1400 square foot house in rural West Virginia in 1997 for $125000 monthly mortgage $1000.00 with a salary of $56000 year 28.00 hourly 40 hour week as an Auto Worker which was very strenuous and physically hard in extreme temperatures dirt grease and noise.
I was told I made way to much money and now that is Peanuts.
My house was just appraised at $295000 I could never afford my house now.

I left the US 3 years ago and will NEVER EVER return as a resident.

Blows my mind how people are brainwashed into thinking the rest of the world is “dangerous” or doesn’t have the quality of life that the US has.

Get your passport, go see the world and leave the US for good if you can. You’ll be happy you did.

The worst part about all this is people still thinking that we are doing better than 4 years ago. No idea how

I make 60K in Las Vegas and own a 2 bed, 2 bath townhome with a mortgage of $1, 550. My final loan amount was $203, 500 with a rate of 6.875%. Not having a car payment, credit card debt, or student loan debt helps.

I had a lady tell me once that her husband fell and hit his head while they were in France on vacation and had to get a scan done. Didnt have insurance to give them and was worried about the bill. The bill out of pocket was like $100 when she got it was so surprised especially when over here they can cost thousands

Your last video about car payments fascinated me. So crazy how some people care so much about having the latest and greatest that they will pay $1000+ a month for a car. I plan on driving my 06’ Corolla with 250k miles until it falls apart

I’m 35 just bought a house in rural Missouri outside of Springfield. Paid 255, 000. 5 acres, 1600sq ft with a 60x 30 shop. That same set up in northern Colorado would be close to a million. My wife and I had to leave Colorado because it has gotten out of control. There are places in America that are still affordable but you might have to leave where you are currently at. I’m a truck driver making 90 to 100k hauling milk. cream.

Given the persisting global economic crisis, it's essential for individuals to focus on diversifying their income streams independent of governmental reliance. This involves exploring options such as stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies. Despite the adversity in the economy, now is an opportune moment to contemplate these investment avenues.

I live in one of the most affordable cities in America (Rochester, NY), and my house is currently worth about $200K. It's a 55 year old 1, 300 square foot ranch in good shape, three bedrooms, 1/4 acre lot, in a decently nice non-HOA suburban neighborhood. My entire monthly house payment is $1, 000 - principle, interest, taxes, and insurance.

My insurance just went up another 10% yesterday, after 20% last year. Ridiculous.

The key is living at your means. I'm a single mom and it can be done! I get no government assistance or anything.

Damn, watching this, I feel like the Rockefellers!

I live in Missouri (Midwest, I know, but check this out). I make $110, 000, rent a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bathroom townhouse for $970, and rents gone up the past two years which has me pissed.

Two, three, four grand for just thinking about that makes my pockets hurt.
