I grew up in Communist Romania. We drank raw milk straight from the source. No one got sick. Never even heard of this until I moved to Canada.

I can only speak from my own experience. I started drinking 100% grass fed, hormone free, Raw Milk from an Amish Farm in Pennsylvania about 2 years ago. I also buy raw Kefir, raw cheese, and raw camel milk from the same farm. I LOVE the taste, have never had any illness from these products, and I am feeling better than ever at 58 years old.

My husband had a large section of his forearm removed last year. He had a rare sarcoma and they removed 10cm x 10cm flap of skin, tissue and the top layer of the muscle. They left this open until pathology came back with clean lines. When he was given the all clear and received his skin graft to cover the area his doctors asked him to increase his protein intake to help with healing. He did this along with consuming a lot of raw milk. The doctors were absolutely blown away by how quickly he healed. His plastic surgeon said she's never seen someone heal as fast as he did from a skin graft. We live in rural Indiana and have a family friend who owns 2 cows. We help pay for the cow's food and we get gallons of milk. Right now their cows are pregnant so we aren't getting milk. My kids are sad because store bought milk doesn't taste as good. Raw milk is delicious and very healthy.

I love it how some of these farms sell it for 'cats and dogs only' when those are lactose intolerant species. Got some raw cream from a farm in WV a few months ago and made butter with it. Not bad and I didn't die! LOL

Let adults buy raw milk. If they can buy cigarettes and alcohol. Raw milk has many benefits from Mother Nature.

It also sounds like a class thing because rich people can get it and rep the benefits of it but as soon as the poor people get informed about raw milk suddenly there is a problem

in my country, any large dairy producer gets tested for every delivery of raw cow milk for bacteria, antibiotic residue and a bunch of other things. And then the pasteurize or sterilize the milk regardless. Testing is cheap, and if the volume is large enough it's economically viable to do so without price increase. pasteurization is done because it extends shelf life and it allows milk producers to be lazy with hygiene.

I heard the biggest farm in the world that's owned by those California billionaire water hoarders were using treated wastewater to water their crops. I work in environmental remediation and am curious what cleanup standards they're required to adhere to. Because now that you mention it, it is crazy that raw produce causes more illness than meat or dairy.

Me and hubby have been consuming raw milk for over ten years. I make raw "yogurt" and raw frozen custard. We've never had any issues. Lately I've been doing 30 hour ferments with L. Reuteri, then mixing it with a little coconut water and ReLyte powder, the Pina colada flavor, so it's like the consistency of kefir. Wonderful pre-workout, been feeling fabulous!

Grew up on raw milk that I had milked directly from the cow. Miss that. I'd drink it in a heartbeat if I could find a source.

I don't trust government "recommendations" anymore. At this point I'd be skeptical if it came out warning us about arsenic

Funny it’s one of the things I trust the most. I buy 4 glass bottles every week from a local TX farm, I love it.

Freedom says we should be able to consume raw milk if we want. It isn't complicated and heath pluses or minuses are not relevant. It's about the principle of freedom.

Had some of the stuff when visiting the Amish folks. Delicious stuff. I didn't die. They have great corn too.

I grew up drinking raw Guernsey milk. I miss it every day now that I can't get it.

It grows bacteria because farmers are slobs and unprofessional. So the regulations are incorrect, don't regulate the public for the farmer's mistakes. Step one would be cow inspections, don't let them sell milk from sick cows, and they can't just remedy it with 20 pounds of antibiotics and steroids.

It's hard to get.

In NYC only VAT pasteurized is available in supermarkets.

Sometimes people sell it at farmers markets.

It's legal in Pennsylvania and sold at health food stores. People from NJ, where it's illegal, price to PA for raw milk.

Whole Foods in Pennsylvania used to sell raw milk until Amazon bought them and they changed their policy.
