Recommend to use cobbled deep slate it doesn’t brake from creeper explosions I turned it into deep slate tiles it looks good

I hate to say it but there is a fatal flaw with this tutorial... It doesn't specify that you should build it 128 blocks above surface level, preferably above an ocean (just to be safe). A mob farm on the ground like this will typically hardly even fart out a single monster, this is because they will be spawning in nearby underground caves instead.

You can put some obsidian on the bottom so creepers don't bomb the walls

This is like the most OG of mob farms. You got anyone in there playing a 2012+ version?

For some reason some people have a problem with the mob farm because the mobs die from fall damage when they are not supposed to to solve that go in the middle of the mob farm about halfway through the drop place cobwebs it will stop them from dieing to fall damage

This works well I recommend putting water at the bottom for creepers although it takes more hots to kill mobs
