Actually the glass armonica was invented by Franklin to make playing of the glasses easier. Before it was only wine glasses filled with water, which was very difficult to play. Robert Tiso right here on YouTube does an excellent job, who I enjoy greatly, even if he re-records over himself. I have myself been repairing antique music boxes for years which sort of has a similar sound, and have enjoyed carillons very much and am still very much alive, so I don't think the arminica is really a deadly instrument. If anything it is very peaceful and relaxing.
