The Secret of EarthBound's Map

I used to use the giant picture of the Whole map for wallpapers on my phone and whatnot, I could make it pixel perfect so it was really crisp and clear. I stopped doing it because the readability stinks but it's fun nonetheless :)

Whats super neat is that despite most areas not being loaded while "in" another area, happy-happy village is loaded while in twoson! Its super weird to look at it in a different color pallette

i love that little custom sprite she so cute :) also ive heard the full full map spread referred to as "the grand tapestry" before. i think its a chugguconroy thing but i really love that name for it so thats what its always been in my mind

This is also why checking the corner in the circus tent in Threed leads to undefined behavior that can have erratic results, you are checking the edge of the world's boundary and the game is trying to make sense of undefined memory it isn't supposed to be accessing.

Absolutely make a video about the Threed tent glitch.
Because a specific part of that tent is on the very edge of the entire map, and the things that can happen are quite interesting

I like the custom sprite you made, it’s like you were giving us a tour of the map! Such a cute sprite, you did great on it! I was slightly bothered by one highlight pixel on the ear of your side walking sprite staying in place though 😭
