I got bullied mad hard in high school and middle school. Spider-Man was always my beacon of hope cause he was nerdy and I was nerdy. So this has sentimental value to me. I need it.

A lot of people seem to be missing out on that fact that the "polka dot" patterned is reminiscent of like 80s style comic book prints. I am glad I hit on the shock drop because I can see these blowing up especially after the movie drops. I really love my pair and the pearlescent finish on the black patent leather is just chefs kiss.

I hit on these during the shock drop and after getting them in hand, I like them a lot. Very different, very fun, just shows it doesn’t always have to be a classic black toe AJ1, or a mocha, or a Travis Scott, or anything else that hype beasts chase.

I love these. Spider-Man means something to me, so these have extra significance.

That being said, $200 for an AJ1 with no special box and no extra laces is a bs move from the brand.

Why do a lot of people tend to say the Origin Story was easy to get? It sold out everywhere for me upon release. Hot off the 2015 Chicago and 2017 Off-White, the Origin Story was obviously the next best option, and everyone who missed the previous two jumped in, so I don't see how it was easy, unless resale was relatively tame.

In person the red pops more on these than the lost and founds, that iridescent ✔️ check broke my neck TWICE. Im 32 and usually wont do certain kicks but as a Marvel comic fan these go hard. Definitely one of them kicks u keep on ice in the closet to just stare n absorb the essence from time to time and never get tired of them.

I just watched into the spiderverse again today, and the effects in the movie ties up to the design of this one, amazing to see. Can’t wait to have it in hand.

those who like spiderman buys these. those who couldn't afford chicago 2015s, bought origin story. hence why a lot of "sneakerheads" (greedy resellers) consider these 'bricks'/unprofitable. Cause they don't give the chicago vibe. They give the spiderverse vibe

I also think a lot of people are missing the point of the Spiderverse concept on the sneaker. He got it at the end of the video but that concept but the taking all of these materials to represent different universes to connect to the movie and it’s a dope collab.

I was surprised Buckets gave this shoe such a high score. I was sure he was going to crap on this shoe. I think it's excellent and a great tribute to the story. I don't remember your saying that the out soles glow, but I think that's awesome as well. I think this shoe will be just as hard to get as so many other ones. Resale isn't too bad now but it will sell out if not immediately, then in time.

Hoping that all these people that say these are garbage leave them. I am a sneakerhead and comic book fan. I get what they were going for with the design with colliding all the animation styles with all the materials. So full appreciation and really want these for person to rock to the premier of the movie next month.

Dude I love all the different materials on these. Super super unique and I’m honestly debating on getting instant ship on GOAT. Cause let’s be honest here, the chances of me hitting on SNKRS is low. I also ordered some blue laces for em so it gives more of a Spider-Man vibe
