At least there's no debate that Jxmy is the goat of NBA YouTube.

The biggest difference between the two is that MJ was a global icon he was like Mike Tyson or Ali and people today love the heroes of the past. James will never be the goat in most people eyes in my opinion ever

I did find bias in one part, perhaps unintended, but when jimmy was discussing if MJ hadn't retired after 98, it would've hurt his GOAT case. Given that it was purely hypothetical and there's no way you could possibly know he wouldn't have won another title in 99, it would've been fair to include that possibility rather than *only* discussing the possible negative outcomes of that entirely hypothetical scenario.

Also, if you're going to go hypothetical, you could've easily mentioned the possibility of a potential 8 peat if he never left for baseball. Not guaranteed, but it was absolutely within the realm of possibility if MJ never left. So the hypothetical argument could've easily favored MJ as well and made his case for goat even more insurmountable, yet none of that was explored. Only the negative hypotheticals were. Given that none of it happened so we can never know, it shows bias to include hypotheticals at all if you're only going to discuss the negative possibilities (despite the fact that the positive possibilities were at least as likely, if not more - i think very few people would've bet against the Bulls in 94 if MJ never left, for example).

So that was an instance of (probably) unintentional bias in the video. You could just as easily have said "if MJ never left to play baseball and didn't retire after 98, then he'd probably have 8 or 9 rings and 45, 000+ career points - very possible given his scoring average and the fact that he missed 3 prime years (he missed most of 1985, all of 1994, and most of 1995). Hell, just those 3 years alone would've added 7, 300 career pts and put him at 40K career points *even if he still retired in 1998* (until his Wizards years). That's insane. Yet instead, only the very worst case hypothetical possibilities were discussed. That's partly why I'm against the hypothetical game altogether - it too easily allows for bias to color the predictions.

That being said I thought it was a great video overall, I just couldn't help but point out the one-sidedness of the hypothetical game.

Jimmy I have been watching you since 2018 and it never ceases to amaze me how regardless of views, subscribers, or the changing social environment your content is so damn consistent. So cool to see you've reached almost 2 million subscribers! Keep up the good work.

There are too many factors that would always make the debate unfair for both.
When MJ returned from retirement he was not in shape.
The competitiveness level is different. Different teams, different challenges, different assignments. The list is endless. There is no way this comparison would be fair.
I think is fair to say that each of them is the greatest in their eras.

Jimmy… this video is a masterpiece, that last minute and a half literally gave me chills and shivers down my spine. I’ve never been so intrigued by the “G.O.A.T. Talk” like this before. You didn’t once force yourself to answer the big question, “Who is The Greatest of All Time?”, I can tell that you just love basketball and love talking about it.

Why do people call it a there is no debate MJ will always be the goat LeBron's basically a lazy player plays only on one end of the Court casually walks back Wendy's on defense, he's then in the NBA twice as long as Jordan and still not even close to his accomplishments. Not to mention if you brush up against LeBron he'll be out five MJ play 82 games all of the time LeBron's probably never seen 82 games in the season
