i think its important to specify that you pull the vacuum on the outlet side (port going to the intake) The other port (inlet coming from canister) does not hold a vacuum on some models. So if you don't know to test from the intake side you may lose vacuum and wrongly assume you have a bad part.

Man was that confusing. What part did he test - inlet or outlet??? What did that mean wirh power and ground?? Mine has 2 prongs where the thing clicks in to the wiring harness. Is one prong power and the other one ground - if so, which one is which and can i use a multimeter to test instead?

Also apply vacuum for at least 20 seconds then bleed it off because it needs to be able to stay closed until the vapors need to be discharged.

My purge valve always stuck in open position even it's new, what can cause it to stuck open.the car is polo 5 1.6

what section do you go to for too activate the valve on autel scanner?
