PACKING HACK: Swap out Liquids for Solid Toiletries, Bye TSA 3-1-1 Rule

Показать описание

I prefer packing solid toiletries because they are less likely to leak in my luggage, they are lightweight, and a little bit lasts a long time. A 16 ounce bottle of toothpowder lasts me for one year. The 2 ounce tooth powder would be good for a vacation. A 100 gram bottle of The Powder Shampoo lasts me for at least 3 months. The smaller 20 gram size would be good for a vacation.

Solid toiletries are not subject to the 3-1-1 liquids restriction, so they don't need to be in 3.4 ounce or smaller bottles and packed in a quart sized bag in order to carry them onto the airplane.

I travel so little and am low maintenance, that travel sized products work great for me, but you showed me products that I have never seen before, I think that is cool.

I got all my bars from Etsy, I like supporting small businesses when I can! The only liquids I’ll be traveling with are monistat cream, hand sanitizer, my tide to go pen (I think it counts as a liquid at least), and a perfume roller. Everything else (shampoo, conditioner, soap, face wash, shaving cream, lotion, deodorant, and sunscreen) are all solids! Neutrogena has a sunscreen stick for your body that looks like a deodorant stick

The one thing I would struggle to swap is my day moisturizer/sunscreen - I use a glowing one as a replacement for makeup to make my complexion look healthier (I have a chronic illness as well as being very pale).

I pack Frau Fowler's tooth powders. I like it so much that I started using it at home. I also pack JR Liggett's shampoo bars.

1. Please share a link where I can purchase your "important document folder". 2. Is it true that visitors may want to bring "small tokens/gifts" like post cards, etc. to give away in Japan to helpful people, , as this is highly appreciated?
