*NOTES:*
*_What causes dry acne?_*
-over cleaning face
-over using ingredients: retinol & acid (glycolic & salicylic)
-insufficient moisturising

*_How to improve dry acne?_*
1. Use gentle cleansers
2. Clean your skin only ONCE a day (at the end of the day)
3. Use oil free moisturiser
4. Use naicinamide (repairs top layer of skin and reduces acne activity)
5. Only use retinoids as acne cream (don't use benzal proxide and salycilic acid). Suggested retinoid: adapelene (use pea size amount after moisturiser)
6. Use petroleum jelly - unperfumed and unadulterated (only once or twice a week)

This is actually so helpful! I have been trying to find advice for dry acne prone skin for years, they always assume acne is associated with oily skin

every time I describe my acne issues to my friends they think I'm insane, thanks for explaining the causes and how it works! I had myself convinced salicylic acid was the best thing I could do to get rid of the dry skin on top -.-

Thank you...You answered some questions I had. I'm 58 and I did exactly what you said on over cleaning my skin...My skin has been a mess. I went to the dermatologist, again. I'm on the retinol, internal meds and I am moisturizing now. My skin hasn't looked this good in so long. You summed it up...I have dry Acne..Thanks Doc

Thanks a lot Dr. Ingky!!
I followed your tips & everything in here for a month, I also change my skincare products & continue using alpha arbutin+kojic acid serum to treat acne scar. I stop using benzoyl peroxide as you suggested & change it to Adapalene 0.1%.
Never been this happy with my skin! You're a life saviour! 💕

The most important thing is to know ur skin type. I've sensitive combo acne prone skin & these tips worked like a charm for me 🥰🥰

i dont know how i missed this video before (when im a long time subscriber) but it literally answered my prayers! it's so hard to find advice on products for acne when they're all targeted to oilier skins. i used exfoliants, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide and foam cleansers to try and treat it and in turn they'd just make my skin sensitive, when i cut them from my skin care due to the extreme cost of getting them all i started noticing a change for the better
