Oh wow! I'm actually discussing agemasu en kuremase right now at my Japanese course. My teacher doesn't speak english very well, so this clears some stuff up!

So if you DID use くれた with 私 as the subject, to a native Japanese speaker does this sound big-headed / boastful or does it simply sound grammatically incorrect?

Why in the first example WA is used in "watashi WA", but all other use GA instead (yuujin GA, chichi GA)? Can you interchange WA/GA in any of theese examples? Is there any nuance in meaning?

Japanese people use the words "Hoshi" and "Sei" meaning "star" to refer to both stars and planets. How do you differentiate between the big ball of gas and the ball of rock orbiting the ball of gas?

Is this correct? Let's say I am telling my mother that her daughter gave her a certain present: Suu-chan ga okaasan ni kono purezento wo agemashita yo.
