Strange thing about japanese is that when grammar is explained, it seems soo confusing and even this video is hard to get the hang of. But after using japanese for a while (like when i lived in Tokyo), grammar just falls naturally even though you cant explain why it is used. Its so weird, but i really love the japanese language, its so much fun to learn.

this is interesting, just started learning Japanese on Duolingo in prep for my upcoming trip to Japan next year (I don't expect to be fluent, but i'd like to know some basics to help with communication) and I notice I'm being taught Kudasai when asking for food like mizu o kudasai and I thought this might be an incorrect way of asking this (finally my years of watching anime sub is coming to help) and was googling to confirm, thanks for this very informative video.
