How to Install a security system step by step

Just started at a local alarm company. Working inside at the moment for troubleshooting IP cams & F/A . I have a IT background so I know IP NVR like the back of my hand. Thank you for the video! I've disabled old alarm systems but this knowledge will get me a raise! New career better pay! I'm one week in. I got the wireless systems down pat but commercial NEEDS to be all wired. The interference from commercial is nothing to mess with X-Ray, heavy wireless traffic. Again THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO! Btw to the comment below.... if you install an alarm sys. you better know about resistors on zones.. Otherwise you need to keep walking.... Love the line seizure part. THAT IS KEY

Started With DSCs PC 5010. Then the 832, then PC1832, love them and the PC 1864.
Just Learned they are Discontuing the Power Series. Maybe even the Neo?
I use the Programmable Outputs to shut off a 1" Ball Valve (Viking WSV2). Within 2 seconds of a leak using Wireless and/or hardwired water sensors.
I also use a PGM to Turn off Air Conditioning if a Perimeter door is opend more than 5 minutes, or whatever time you want. I also have a PGM Shut off AC, If Heat or Smoke is Detected, to keep Smoke Pumped throughout the House, or give more Air to the Fire.
Sorry to see Power Series Going. I had Assumed the Neo was a System where Keypad Contained the Control Panel, so I never Researched it.

Want to Add, on the Keypad, there is a 5th Terminal, "Z",
Can be used for a Door near Keypad, just run a pair of wires from door contact to Black and Z Terminal on Keypad, You will need to Program that Keypads Z Terminal.
Some can not only be Programmable Input, but a Programmable Output, Trigger a Door Strike...
Use to do a Lot Of Phone work.
Usually it is.
White/Blue to Green
Blue/White to Red
White/Orange to Black
Orange/White to yellow,
When converting Category Rated Wiring to Old Quad Wiring.
Blue/White should go to Ring Terminal.
Ring(Red)has a Negative Voltage with Respect to Green.
I need to Check if they will continue the Neo.
I believe I saw or Read, the Neo won't handle the TL 150, Or Envisalink, hope they have an equivelent or Better.

I am very sorry that you have such a situation. The question of home security will always be relevant. I live in a not very favorable area and therefore I had to install a security system. When choosing between wired and wireless, I certainly chose the wireless option from Kangaroo. This makes life a lot easier, no need to break the walls and throw a bunch of unnecessary wires. The whole system works through a wi-fi network and can be controlled using the phone, in general, I am very pleased with my purchase.

God help who ever saw this 2015 video and had to install a DSC Neo system without training. Lucky in 2019, four years after its release, most of the issues have been fixed.

In the Red/Black/Yellow/Green group, i have 2 keypads and 4 extension modules. ITs difficult to try and get 4 wires all connected in one color. Can i crimp them all together and just have 1 wire going into these slots? does that make any difference?

Where do you recommend to purchase the DSC Neo? Is there an alpha numeric keypad that is colored white? The green keypad looks very ugly and would look bad in my home.
