Awesome! I remember my brother and I running the trapline with our dad holding our red ryders. I was in the 3rd grade. Wish I still had mine to pass on in a few years. Hes gonna love it!

I picked one of these up last year and replaced the wood stock and foregrip with one that I had carved myself. It looked so good and sure as heck made a good birthday gift for my cousin.

8 is a fine age for a bb gun. I got my first gun (.410 shotgun at 9). Been hooked on guns ever since!

Screw the box I don't care what age it says! My buddy got a RR and even though I shoot real guns all the time the RR is super cheap! Plus I can't shoot rifles in the backyard. With the RR I can! Great fun man, make sure you pick up some light oil(really light) to drop in the oil hole. Help's keep the BB flying. I used trumpet valve oil but I think Daisy sells some at Walmart. Have fun, don't let be to lax on the safety aspect though. Because it could carry into real guns.
