"Ugh this meal doesn't taste good"

"Bro that's racist..."

The food is not burnt…

…it has achieved a high level of caramelization. 🤭

The smile after thank you warms my heart, she has mastered the art of charisma convincing friends about her good cooking

-"Am I supposed to be having the runs after eating this dish?"
-"Yes that's what makes it Extra Authentic!"

"It's not burnt, it's cajun." 😂😂😂

That one got me through a lot of meals.

‘I had it before and it didn’t taste like this’ - well that’s because I’ve made the regional specialty from my city 😅

Smooth, your boyfriend knows how to make a compliment while technically being truthful 😂

The “thank you” at the end was everything 😭

I do the same thing with language 😂 If someone points out a mispronunciation I just say it's my accent. Half the time it's true.

Not her taking “I’ve had Vietnamese food before and it tasted nothing like yours” as a compliment 😂😂😂

You are actually a comedy genius.
This is getting more and more refined and professional.
Like "Fresh off the boat" meets "Office".
I wish you get a tremendous amount of money for your effort. Or at least some.
Thank you for being with us!

After the war, My german mum worked france as housemaid/cook. She was only 19 and hadn’t cooked much, and knew nothing about French food, so when they ask Pde her to make something like coq au vin, she figured out it had chicken and wine, but just made it up as she went along. The family always liked it, and when they said- This isn’t Coq au Vin, she would just say with great confidence: It’s Bavarian style!

You can say “oh it’s an old family recipe” only up until they meet your parents 😭
