Hi-Gear Hampton 8 DLX Nightfall Tent Review

After getting carried away in Go Outdoors my wife and I came away with this Hampton 8 DLX to replace our Zenobia 8 and Habitat porch. This is my review after using the tent for one weekend.

The tent is available currently on a great bundle deal from Go Outdoors with the matching carpet and footprint. Ive never used a footprint before but it did keep the groundsheet dry and clean so definitely a bonus. The carpet is great and essential in my opinion for a cosy home from home feel.

We managed to get the tent and carpet for an absolute bargain of £321 at Go Outdoors. Very excited, although a bit concerned that I've got carried away with how spacious the tent is and now bought too much furniture! Won't know until we're in France later this month - argh!

You mentioned you had some difficulty pitching the tent in wind. Is it suitable for single adult to pitch or do you need two? It looks a tremendous tent but I’m left wondering whether an Air version (if there is one) might be easier. PS your videos are really good - quick and to the point, with an easy delivery style. Lovely review, how have you found the tent in stronger winds? We're looking at the Hampton 6 a similar design, but the reviews on go outdoors aren't great.

Have you tried putting a regular double (137cm) air bed in the smaller rooms? Do they fit OK or do you definitely need a small double (120)? Just wondering before I drop more money haha
