I unplugged my Air yesterday in the morning, spent the whole day installing programs, running benchmarks, playing WoW (high settings plugged into a 4K monitor), editing in Pro Tools, surfing the web, watching YouTube... didn't even worry about the battery all day. I think I was using it extremely heavily for about 6-7 hours and it was still at around 30% battery... absolutely mental.

I think if you don’t already have a MacBook, go with the 13”. If you already have a 15” or 16”, I think it’ll be hard to downgrade in size.

MacBook Air M1 user here. I work 9-10 hours a day as a Jr Operations Manager. I have 6 Safari tabs, 3 Chrome tabs, Microsoft OneNote, Excel, Word, Citrix Workspace/Viewer, Mail, Messages and Spotify open at all times when I'm work. I constantly have to switch between apps and my screen is only off a couple of times a day for bathroom breaks. I'm also constantly on the phone making/receiving calls with this laptop and at the end of my work day, I'll go from 100% down to 40% after 9-10 hours of almost constant use. I haven't brought my charger with me to work ONCE since I switched to this laptop over the Microsoft Surface Laptop 2. It was a HUGE upgrade and I couldn't be happier with my choice to switch.

Nice Video, But I have noticed none of the YouTubers are mentioning main disadvantages of M1 Macbook, just minor once like 2 port, screen size etc ..I have a feeling this is a promotion time for M1 and once that is over they will come up the list of real issues of using new Macbook(M1).
It's Simple .. Look, Most of us has already watched the release of new Macbook M1 and know things like it's optimised and have good battery life, the reason people like me come to watch the You-tuber is to get to know the real thing side be side,
Mentioned 5 Advantages and 5 Disadvantages (Don't tell me it has none or it's Perfect :P).
I know New Macbook Pro(M1) is more optimised and gives good battery life, but here are few Disadvantages over Macbook Pro 16in :
1. No Bootcamp ! (I like to have a Macbook which support dual boot, I don't want to have Separate laptops for different OS. :P ).
2. Off-course the Screen Real-state ( It's so useful for Programmers, while watching Movies, reading Text even when editing Videos.)
3. Incompatibility of many Softwares (Except the software from the AppStore, I am sure we will start seeing videos from you-tubers on this topics in near future :) ).
4. Sound (There is No Laptop in the Market in 2020 that can beat the Sound Output of a Macbook Pro 16 inch, Hands Down !)
5. Dedicated Graphic Card: (16 inches has dedicated Graphics card which will be use-full while playing games, even Windows based games when I do bootcamp.)
BTW, The Macbook Fan's does kicks in when you are playing heavy Games or Copying large amount of files in GBs, but Normally it works like Breeze, Most of the time I have more than 10 chrome tabs open for hours and still can't feel the fans.
Another point, unless you are a frequent traveler no one needs a 20Hours of battery life, 12 Hours is good enough, but ya it's good to have.
Well thats what I think, BTW I own an 16inch Macbook Pro which i brought last month knowing M1 advantages, the main reason I went for MacBook 16in are the above 5 points!

I had to return my 13 inch M1 because of its tiny size! Don’t make this stupid mistake and keep 16 inch. Larger screen is so much better for productivity. I can NEVER go back to 13inch.
