I Found The HOLY GRAIL Of Plum Tomatoes!

I have spent over 7 years searching for the perfect plum tomato. After growing dozens of varieties, none have made the cut. I finally found a plum tomato variety that is vigorous, disease resistant, and productive. This tomato plant produces big clusters of large plum tomatoes, and none have blossom end rot! I may have finally found the plum tomato of my dreams.

Hey man. Just wanted to stop in and say thanks for all your info. I started a 10 bucket garden about a month ago and since then I have added a raised bed I’m going to do herbs. A greenhouse I don’t know why yet. Tomorrow I plan on setting up a basic drip system. Thank you for you guidance from central Jersey 👍

okay, I'm sold... didn't plant any plum tomatoes this year but I'm in zone 10a so I'll start some now and keep them going in the greenhouse!

Nice. I’ve had great luck with Martino’s Roma, a dwarf determinate, here in FL.

The reason San Marzano is so popular for sauce is because it has less seeds per fruit amounts. Not because it happens to be more tasty or anything. It also needs full sun to grow and produce. I'd like a report on seed quantities on the Marzanera. F1s are wonderful. I've mostly given up on heirloom for tomatoes myself.

I live in Abruzzo and have started some San Marzano for my fall tomatoes. Thankfully we have about 20% lower humidity here so the disease pressure Is a lot lower. I Will keep this variety in mind though should the situation change with climate change.

I may need to try this one! I have the San marzano in my garden now. Huge, hardly a bloom or tomato on it! 🤦🏼‍♀️

The best tomatoes I’ve ever had were accidental. Threw one of those mixed packs of rotting tomatoes in to my old garden space in the winter. In the spring I had several hundred small tomato plants. I couldn’t keep up!

Check out Prairie Fire tomato. Giving this a try for the first time and it is hugely productive, healthy, and delicious.

I prefer Amish Paste after growing it last year for the first time. I will try this one next year in my area. Thank you for the information.

Okay, enough already! I’m jealous! I’m just north of you in New Bern. I can only wish my tomatoes looked that good! Interesting variety, I’ll have to see if I can get some for the second round!
