In this video, I"m sharing a tip I learned to ensure that the focus of your home theater projector is fully dialed in clearly for maximum sharpness. This is especially useful if you have any type acoustically transparent or similar screen with texture to it.

Another thing I like to do is sit just under the projector with a pair of binoculars. You can really see the patterns well. I learned to do this back in my CRT projector days where you had to do convergence.

I use the white printer paper method to set up my anamorphic lens by positioning the paper between the projector lens and the anamorphic lens in order to centre and position the anamorphic lens itself.

Great tip and congrats to 2K subscribers and hey, welcome to the reading glasses club. It's great to be able to read text again ;o)

Oooh I’m going to try this when I get home to see if I’m off with the focus a bit. Thanks for sharing

Update: Totally worked 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Been fighting on just what is focused. I will certainly try the printer paper trick.

Google Assistant in the XGIMI remote makes it easier to use their projectors, especially for someone like me who is not tech-savvy.

Thanks, just watching this gave me an idea of the solution to my problem-having little to do with what you actually shared!
I have an old(at least 25 years) corporate lcd projector and a home made roll-up screen of some sort of white shiny material. I have enjoyed this for years and after not using it all at for a year or so, an unfocused area about 8” square has developed a little above the middle of the image(based on 6’ image).

After bumming me out and confusing the hell out of me, it just came to me to look at the SCREEN and see if time rolled-up has created a stretched out portion of the screen.

Thanks for making the idea come to me!

Cool trick, I have to focus mine at the projector itself from 7 metres (25ish feet) away. So I also use a pair of binoculars lol.

Man you’re never too old to learn! That’s a neat, cheap trick! Well my vision is just the opposite of yours! I’m near sighted. I wear glasses but take them off to read anything upclose. Up close is Crystal Clear but Far away viewing is my problem! If you need my help I’m a text away!!🤣👴🏽

Hi Jeremy,
Love watching your videos.
Just curious if you can recommend couple of projector mounts that are using for your Epson and JVC projectors?

So looks like this is useful for AT screens or screens that are not very smooth like Silver ticket or similar lower end screens.

Hello please can you assist me with my projector project?

Sorry, but this only makes sense if you have a broken screen. Plus, I'd rather setup the projector to correct for screen flows, than get the best possible projection, which doesnt give me the best possible picture.

This is only pertinent to those with textured screens which are a minority. And it has nothing to do with the brand of projector that you have. Another video whose title is misleading!

do you zoom your projector all the way to make it brighter ?
