DW400 vs Walbro '525'

Q: When does 400=525?

A: When you are comparing the flow of a DW400 vs. a W525. To clear up any confusion on how the DW400 stacks up against the W525, we flow tested both in our technical depart. Numbers don’t lie. Thanks to Bosch’s high torque 29mm motor, the DW400 flows more at higher pressure and draws fewer amps in the process.

I'm running dual DW300 pumps on E85 in my 800+hp CTS-V. Never had an issue.

The DW even draws less current all around, choice time. Emailed AStewart but it bounced back. Thankfully you posted this video.

I will say from experience, DW does in fact make great fuel pumps!!

Thanks for the good information, so many Walbro fanbois won't listen to logic. I appreciate the effort your company puts into making quality products.

I see test voltage is 13.5v which is low, can we see a test @ 14.8v alternator charging voltage, or a bap voltage of 15.5-16.0v?, Applied to these pumps, as with adding voltage, current consumption comes down, and I hear walbro needs atleast 14.8v to shine. Not Knocking the dw400 it's a nice pump, but I think testing condition s could have yielded different results in a higher voltage setting, at straight battery power of 12.5-12.6v the dw400 probably walks all over the 525 walbro, due too less voltage with higher current draw.

Hey when swapping fuels, how long would you have to run the DW400 pumps dry before you damaged them. As i swap fuel the flow starts to slow down as tanks near empty. Is that ok on the pumps to drain fuel tank dry to get all the fuel out before swapping to other type of fuel. Just don't wanna burn my pumps.

Could you go through your test bench setup?

What ever happened to the Gen 5 Camaro drop in dual fuel pump? Last I heard it went back for re-engineering and now nothing.

Have you guys tested with higher voltage from fuel pump booster?

Damn the quality you can hear the difference. DW sounds alot smoother and torque-y er

Do you guys make anything compare to walbro GLS392? Looking to upgrade in my diesel pick up.

I am thinking to go e85 route with my TT 2015 GT. i am at 600whp pump gas right now. What is the safe HP i can go to on a singe pump? (no voltage booster.) can i hit 700 wheel, 750 wheel?

I'm wondering what day will they make a brushless pump. Shouldn't be an issue the only other components needed is a speed controller / 3 phase circuit controller

You have tests for aem 340lph? Thats what im using now

Would one of these work for a 16 Mustang GT with a Vortec Supercharger? I have a JMS bap that's giving my tuner all kinds of hell. At 5000 rpms the gas starts to cut out. With the WD400 would I even need a bap ?

Is this referring to fuel line pressure or what sensor reading on datalogs?

I’m hitting 460WHP SAE on the dyno FBO Challenger 6.4 Scatpack, no e85 or Cam yet. I’m going to buying hellcat injectors but i need a fuel pump as well. help?

Just wondering what fluid you guys use for testing? For safety.
