Today, Moon discusses Honkai: Star Rail's v2.3 Tier List after the Release of Firefly to see where changes have been made in the Meta! Harmony Trailblazer and Ruan Mei alongside Firefly have changed the meta because of how powerful the break meta is becoming. Firefly is a Fire Destruction class character who focuses on weakness-breaking enemies to deal massive damage. She is able to implant fire weakness onto enemies, has increased weakness-breaking efficiency, and much more. This plays a huge part regarding her place in the meta.

I’m really interested to see how the meta evolves with the confirmation of us going back to the Xianzhou for the next few patches, as there’s a ton of characters and I’m super curious about how they’ll end up working with our current ones, like firefly!

My only issue with Fu xuan is that unless you dont have a properly built fu xuan with 1.8k def+, 7.5k hp+, decently fast - when bosses throw their massive aoe attack - it feels a bit bad. That's where aventurine kind of edges her out. Other than that, i think she's a great character with her giving crit rate and her e1 crit dmg should you choose to get it. Helps mitigate poor artifact rolls, where let's be honest is really nice to have

On a superbreak team, everyone is a dps, i even farmed 2 full sets of the new relic for my galager and he is dishing out massive amount of superbreak

I dont seem to use my Fuxuan anymore with Adventurine on my Acheron team and Gallagher on my break team. My Jinglu and My Lunae have been benched as well for Acheron and FireFly respectively. power creep is real.

I was really glad that I got Ruan Mei back at winter. She was my first limited five star character ever, but sort of regretted it, because my team comps at that time comprised only one team and that was the Clara team, which proved to be very anti-synergistic to Clara. And while I was busy pulling five star characters I was still stuck on composing my main team. And by the time I finally finished it on a manageable level as well maxing out character levels and talents, all the resources were completely spent, meaning that I lacked the resources needed to farm for relics. But all of that changed with the release of Firefly which this time proved to be more synergistic with Ruan Mei and turned my regret into a blessing.

What I like about MidFly:
She can deal with every thing in the game. Simulated Universe, Memory of Chaos, Apocalyptic Shadow, Pure Fiction
She's the first limited character I went all in her. I got her to E2.

The only other character that's "similar" to Firefly is Acheron, but I think Acheron still doesn't have her "premium support", in the way Harmony MC is for Midfly. If she's going to get her "premium" support soon, the two of them are the most universal DPS we have out there.

What I skipped to get E2 Firefly: Sparkle, Dan Hang Imaginary, Robin, Fu Xuan, Aventurine.

I love this Tier list video! actually explained why FF deserved the T0 spot and not just glazed the shit out of her. Respectfully I believe she is a T.5 DPS and HMC is the actual T0 Specialist. since Every break character got their placements because of them. Without HMC you can't play superbreak optimally. its like playing DOT without Kafka, sure you can do it but its not advised to. FF isn't T0 (personally she's t.5) without HMC but HMC kit is timeless with the team wide Superbreak access and other future superbreak comps.

This is my ted talk on why HMC is the true T0 Specialist, but I really love how you talked about FF and discussed why the character is there and also mentioned her shortcomings as a character.

I absolutely agree with firefly being T0. As for the Acheron vs Firefly argument, In my experience, Acheron DOES have slightly more damage, especially if she’s able to hit more than 3 targets, and is a bit more versatile because she’s not useless if the enemy locks their toughness, however I think overall considering everything that Firefly is better, reason being she’s much easier to build off the bat due to only needing break effect and spd, compared to needing good crit relics on Acheron, her best support HTB is given to everyone, her 2nd best support is something a lot of people already have and even more people are getting since RM is in the highest pull value of any unit in the game argument, and firefly has a fall of an aeon as a phenomenal f2p option for LC that Acheron just doesn’t have since Acheron needs her signature LC or silver wolfs. She has very similar damage output to Acheron, but is so much easier to build and her team is also significantly more f2p friendly than the best Acheron teams. I absolutely think that doing maybe only 5-10% less damage and having a sometimes annoying weakness to enemies locking their toughness is a completely fine trade off for how much easier firefly is to build not only individually but for her team as well, so I actually think Firefly is better overall and more value right now.

I lost 50/50 in ruan mei banner so now I run: firefly + hmc + robin + gallagher

It still slaps so hard 😭 I hit like 300-500k per skill and I get to go 3-4 times per firefly ult

At E0 aventurine is the best, but FX E1 is where it becomes iffy. Both cr and cdmg boost? She’s basically both a sustain and dmg amplifier. Her E1 is especially valuable in teams where u haven’t build all the chars yet or on E0 Acheron team.
However overall I would pick aventurine for survivability and comfort

Had a break after acheron release and didn't prepare pulls for her... 20 pulls lost to Gepard. Then after 15 pulls got her lol :D

Glad to have pulled Ruan Mei first then lost early on Firefly's banner! Firefly Superbreak team is so fun to play especially in SU/DU!

Boothill is kinda just destined to get overshadowed by Firefly because of the composition of content we receive. Every single endgame mode has at least a bit of aoe consideration. Even Apocalyptic Shadow, which is supposed to be THE mode for single target characters, has summons and other factors that make aoe attacks better. Until we get content where the entire mode is just whaling on a single health bar in a very short amount of time, single-target focused characters will just be less desirable than those with blast and aoe attacks.
