MASSIVE CHANGES! Updated Honkai: Star Rail Tier List - BEST 5 Star and 4 Star Characters!

Today, Moon discusses Honkai: Star Rail's v2.0 Tier List after the NEW changes made to reflect on the current meta! After the release of Black Swan and Sparkle, the meta has COMPLETELY shifted in Honkai Star Rail. Sparkle is the first limited 5-star Quantum Harmony Character focusing on advancing allies forward similar to Bronya, giving an abundance of skill points, and also increasing an ally's crit damage and damage stats. Additionally, Black Swan was the first limited 5-star Wind Nihility Character focusing on the DoT (Damage over time) mechanic! This greatly affects Black Swan and Sparkle's place in the meta.

Ultimately, some characters definitely have improved and become top-tier due to new changes, some being Jing Yuan, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, Qingque, and many more!

As a first banner Jingyuan and Dan² enjoyer, Sparkle brought me so much joy and happiness. Brings tears to my eye honestly. But for some reason Ruan mei still feels stronger. That break efficiency is insane. Can legit feel it when she's not on the team.

Glad to see DHIL back up to S+ very much expected, running fast sparkle feels so good with him and got my first two 36 star moc done before the new pure fiction.

You have no idea how happy I was checking prydwyn for sparkle’s tier and seeing jing yuan moved up to S tier and if there was a game I wish I could experience again for the first time it would have to be Pokemon mystery dungeon for the 3DS or Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii. Easy two of my favorite games of all time

I generally agree with the tierlist & movements.
Having Sparkle & Ruan Mei, I now struggle to even find space for Bronya at times.
Considering the powerhouse that Bronya is, the 4* Harmony options are definitely less used in my personal experience and their ranks being reduced aligns with my experience 👍

Her skill point generation is so good that sometimes I mess up and have an excess skill point.

Imo the only change I would’ve made is keeping Asta in A tier. She’s an amazing f2p substitute for Ruan Mei in DOT teams, very valuable in Mono fire w/ Himeko and/or Topaz, and the team wide speed boost & Dance, Dance, Dance combo is nothing to play around with.

Honestly i'm just getting both. They honestly work so well together. Aventurine's damage is so high as a sustain character that you don't have to chose anymore between a good sustain character or a sub dps. Which is perfect for Acheron who kinda requires another nihility character. So you can run something like "Acheron(DPS), Aventurine(sustain/sub dps), Pela(defense shred/nihility) and Sparkle(DMG boost).

a game i wish i could play again, without remembering my past experiences, is def undertale, that game was life changing to me, making me get attached to each and every character, making me try to understand why the characters behaved like they do, reading deeper into their lore, understanding how they feel in the underground, and feeling their hope in freedom increasing with each pacifist interaction we have, and also how the genocide route changes drastically, and how the game recognizes your past actions or sins even after resetting, i would say that undertale it's one of these games that atleast 90% of people who played it can agree that this game is a masterpiece.

Harmony characters are just cracked lol. I've been trying her in dual dps teams and it's been good. The additional skill points make it easier to funnel energy so it doesn't feel clunky to play. So good.

Also, I would love to play xenoblade chronicles 3 again or any of the games from the trilogy. They're so so so good, masterpieces really.

I feel Sparkle is not as "game changing" as Ruan Mei was IMO, I cannot slot her everywhere and be super satisfied and she is actually not stronger in the comps and hypercarry comparisons I've done between both as far as just trying to squeeze cycles goes

No hate or regret but I wanted to answer your first question that right now the main reason I pulled her was solely to have more freedom to put Ruan Mei elsewhere, but I do think she deserves to be above everybody else besides Ruan

I think it's clear at this point, the devs want every account to create a direct DPS team, a follow up attack team, and a DOT team. It's a little different than how it was when the game began and people were just focusing on different elements.

Hanya is underrated. She provides so many buffs while being SP positive. A-tier would have been fair.

I’m torn about sparkle being S+ for the reasons you mentioned. Mostly because of how are universal Ruan Mei is by comparison still. She’s definitely S+ if you have/main one of the DPS that are best for her.

Sparkle: she’s so busted. I do agree she is a liiiitle bit lower than Ruan Mei, but I personally value them both at the same tier

JY + Sparkle feels so good in PF, Argenti + Sparkle too

And as for the game, it’s definitely Undertale. So many memories of good times 😶

Thank you for bringing up that her +skill pts arent just for specific team. There's almost no team that wouldn't get strengthened by having more skill pts. Even jingliu's team would benefit from it not to mention her other buffs and advance forward and overall just makes team building so much more comfy. Her value to the team might not be as visibly flashy as what ruan mei can do to your dps but she 100% have enough value overall to put her at the same level as ruan mei.
