1 6 LB. Turkey breast with bone.
1 stick of softened butter
1 tsp Fresh Thyme
1 tsp Fresh Rosemary
3 tsp salt
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder

vegetables:
3 large carrots
1 large onion cut in half.
3 celery stalks

Gravy:
3 tbsp melted butter (in the video I used 2 tbsp, but later wanted my gravy thicker.
3 tbsps. all-purpose flour mixed into the melted butter.
add 1 1/2 to 2 cups of drippings.
Taste the gravy and season if needed.

Garnish with fresh parsley and pomegranate seeds

Cook the 6 lbs. turkey breast in a 10-quart crockpot on high 4 to 5 hours. Until the internal temperature is 165 degrees.
Place cooked turkey under the broiler 3 to 5 minutes to brown. (don't walk away!)

I used a 7-quart crockpot.

When my husband broke his leg in 2001, a friend told me about this. Amazing and a meal for several days! I can tell you are thankful no matter how the main course is cooked. Putting the herbs on and under the skin keeps from having broil it even 5 mins.

Turkey looks great but what I really like is the garnish, the parsley and pomegranate really looks nice around the turkey.

I have made a turkey breast in the crock for some years. I rub it with a mixture of pesto, ground sage and nuts, thinned a bit with olive oil, inside and out. It cooks beautifully and very tasty.

Rosie, your turkey is just absolutely gorgeous, my friend. I've been using General Tso's sauce for turkey leftovers, along with some rice and boiled carrots & broccoli, it's really good. I'm looking forward to your Christmas treats, cutie.

You look like someone I went to grade school with in Illinois, who's name was also Rosie. What a precious sweet girl. And btw, I made this last night and it came out great! Thanks for the video.

Did you refrigerate the crock over night? and if so does it need to warm up before turning on the heat?

I do Turkey breasts in a 10 qt, crockpot l ordered for that purpose, l love the way it turns out, and we dont eat the dark meat anyway, so it really works for me.

Butter on top is wasted. It just melts off. Seperate the skin from the meat by sliding yer hand in between. Put 6 to 8 1/2 inch thick pads in. I dont worry about the skin browning. I throw it away anyway as the meat is sliced before serving. As for the gravy, buy great value turkey gravy mix ( Walmart, $0.69). No flour taste and more flavor.

How did you reheat the next day, and does it slice well, or will it shred?
