Restoration Rusty Asian Dagger

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. I found this Asian dagger at a flea market. And I decided to restore the knife and scabbard too. Well, time to restore it.

As usual, I used rust remover liquid, then I used iron wire brush and starting to sanding. For handle I chose deer horn and brass. For the bolster of the knife, I used brass. Also, I also added a drawing using surface engraving on bolster.

Wood scabbard took a long time to restore. First, I used the blade to clean it, then I sanded it and used glue to primers. For scabbard surface, I used thin leather and made brass accessories for the scabbard. Also, I added a small suspension to their skin so that they could be worn on a belt. I hope, you will enjoy this restoration project. Thank you all for attention!

Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!

One thing I admire is that you don't use an absurd amount of rust solution (vinegar?) in your videos. Sooo many guys use 10x more than they need and it kills me inside. You use just enough to cover the item and I love it.

I think I've seen similar knives. The handle is usually wood with some shiny pins. The one you made for it is better. The sheath you made looks awesome. Turned a ☹️knife into a 🙂knife. 👏

My friend I have been following your you tube journey for some time. This isn't just a simple restoration. This is a creation. Everything from the handle work to wooden sheath along with the thoughtful sense to add a belt loop for outdoor use. I enjoyed it so much I watched it twice in a row.
